From Chalkboards to Classrooms in the Cloud:
My Sharing Session on Google Classroom
I had the opportunity to conduct a sharing session with my colleagues on using Google Classroom for teaching, and honestly, it felt like watching light bulbs switch on one by one. 💡
We talked about how Google Classroom is more than just a place to upload worksheets. It’s a digital classroom that helps us organise lessons, manage assignments, give feedback, and stay connected with our pupils anytime, anywhere. For busy teachers, this means less time chasing homework and more time focusing on what truly matters – teaching and learning.
What I loved most was seeing the excitement when teachers realised how simple it is to create classes, post announcements, schedule lessons, and even reuse materials from previous years. Small features, big impact. Suddenly, “paperless” didn’t sound scary anymore – it sounded smart.
Sharing knowledge with fellow educators is always a reminder that we are all lifelong learners. Today’s session wasn’t just about mastering a tool; it was about building confidence, supporting each other, and moving one step closer to a more organised, engaging, and future-ready classroom.
Here’s to more learning, more sharing, and more digital adventures ahead. One click at a time. 🚀
